no.18: alhamdulillah!!cuti.............

bismillah alRahman alRahim

wah!!!dah seminggu jugak ruapanya cuti kita semua. apa perasaan? happy? lega? tak sakit kepala?

'tak!' kata seseorang yang tak perlu dikenali..

oh ea? kenapa ea? muaddal kurang menggembirakan? mm...macam mana tu ea?

kawan-kawan!!!!

no 16:trickle,trickle...

bismillah alRahman alRahim

again, we're in the gigi&gusi talkshow. since i was not posting for a long time, now, my enthusiastism to write is coming back.

i've met many dentist in my life, and i think it is the same with u. the 1st was when my mom brought me to pulled out my moving tooth, it was frightening at first but then, i felt nothing (relieved). the 2nd one was when i fell down during playing a game in school activity.i fell down into a narrow yet deep drain, my head turned fizzy and trickle of blood was flowing down from my mouth, and i cried. when my mom knew my condition, she brought me to the dentist again. the rest was annual meeting with dentist which we done as a routine. sometimes, i need to do scaling and sometimes the dentist was praising my healthy teeth, yet they're not in a line...:-P.

allright, just get to the point. the latest meeting with dentist is at here, in Jordan, or in Irbid specifically. i was very suprised to see unawared dentist, without wearing gloves and experienced attendence, they do their work so recklessly. i was saying 'what on earth the dentists are?'. could u imagine they do the scaling without hand me in a saliva-sucker-pipe, do the Root Canal Treatment without asking me first (and i realised it when i felt one of my teeth was holed) and persuade people to make braces with them in unprofessional way. oh come one! is this a graduated dentist? it was very freaky (n those who accompanied me understand 'bout it) everytime i ran into the clinic for an appointment with them. as a patient, would u like to be treated like that?

i'm sure the answer is NO!

as a dentist, would u like to see ur patient run away from u before the treatment is finished?

and again, i'm sure u would say NO!

it is a nightmare yet a new experience...and a lesson for me, for u & for us...
please think this carefully...what type of dentist u would be? and create the image that u want, and discover what are present on the image. then, rethink again, would the image come out like that just by a blink of eye or a flick of fingers?

NO! right?

so what?

no pizza will become soft if it is not being punched-pulled first. and punch-pull skill would not come from the first try, it need practice. a continuous practice.

so do u think u will suddenly pop out just like a very kind dentist if u kick cats along ur way home everyday?

NO!right?   so what?(again)

what i want to press here, let we become ourselves. let we become kind in natural way, let practice to be kind, soft, gentle yet skillful in our work from now on.

how? u know it better.

practice:speak gently to others-greet warmly-observe carefully-study with focus-sensible toward others-and anything that u would like to add...

yet, this is written by u-know-who

i write,u read,we practice and make it real~together we go through(inshaAllah!)

no 15: i'll give you the reasons.

bismillah.

kan ini kisah kita semua?

******

so, soon after you graduated from Jordan University of Science and Technology as a successful dentist, do you know that you will have to be registered under an association in Malaysia to become a 'truly dentist'?

Just like medical students, they will have to register to Malaysian Medical Association before being a medical officer, so do us but in another special association called Malaysian Dental Association [ MDA ].

Please have a quick review about this organization by clicking  this  .

Do you want to know some good news regarding our future fate of being dentists in Malaysia?
Now, just go through this post and read it till the last word as I will tell you the benefits :

1. There are a lot of percentages of total citizens in Malaysia that still dont really aware of their teeth health. So, we'll have a big number of patients as soon as we become a dentist, with a condition, Malaysians must get  exposed to dental care. News about our beloved nation can be reached here .

2. Consecutively, as not many Malaysians have the knowledges of how to take good care of their teeth, with the portion of only 6% out of 2.8million people in Malaysia. again....we are the very very very very important persons here, that should come and serve the community. Giving them informations and knowledges. dont you feel sinful if you dont do your responsibilities to the nation ?

3.  Money is ain't the problem for if we have many patients.  heh. Eye-ing on Malaysia's economical condition that could become even worse, I'm wholeheartedly sure that this job will provide us money-worries-life and thus, we can help much much more needy peoples out there i.e our brothers and sisters in Palestine.

4. We shouldnt be stressed any longer to find job vacancies nor to waste time to be unemployed right after graduate, because this is what had been promised by our Ministry of Health based on his plans to open the market of dental fields ;

Health Minister Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai said that Malaysia plans to learn from China's experience in increasing its number of dentists and will also explore its wide range of dental related fields....

or, you may read this link for more infos. Please, dont just neglect current issues.

5. If you could observe well and make some studies, you will find that there is not much Muslim Malay people who are in specialists dental field. so, here are the vacancies for us to be filled. so, let's prepare ourselves to be a good muslim above all, then with that sense we'll raise up our nation particularly the Malays that always people looked down onto.

6. Personally, I do really feel that there is no other reason than what Allah had given us, is always the best to ourselves.. the matter is we just have to give some spaces to dentistry to get to know us, or vice versa. Dentistry is not a low profession, right? so, are you still ashamed of being a dentist? I'm not. instead, i'm proud to be one of dental students.

so, that's all. who want to join me to fall in love to what we are studying currently?
wallahu a'lam. any flaws on the facts or english grammar, you may reply me.

thanks for reading.

no 14: so, have you make up your mind to which dentist you are?

bismillah.
now i would like to bring you all to dream of being a dentist. as an introduction, let's take a look on some terms that may sound awkward as some of us are not exposed to them, [yeah..it goes the same on me. dont worry]. After reading this, fill in the blank in this question;

"I want to be ____________________________"

General dentists

  • The general dentist is the person we usually refer to as "the dentist".
    • Patients should visit the dentist every six months for a dental check-up, which may include routine dental x-rays and a scale and polish treatment.
    • Some dentists employ dental hygienists for the cleaning, scaling and polishing of teeth. Others perform this procedure themselves.
    • Dentists are qualified to diagnose dental problems and treat patients of all ages.
    • If necessary these will be referred to a specialist dentist.

Specialist dentists

  • In addition to their basic dental training, specialist dentists have to complete at least another two years of training.

  • Endodontists
    • Endodontists are specialists who treat the nerves and blood vessels inside the tooth.

  • Oral and maxillo-facial surgeons
These specialists deal with difficult extractions, such as the removal of
    impacted wisdom teeth.

  • Orthodontists
Orthodontists straighten teeth and correct the alignment of teeth and jaws.

  • Paedodontists
  • These are paediatric dentists that specialise in the treatment of children.

  • Periodontists
Periodontists are dentists who specialise in diagnosing and treating conditions of the gums, bone and other tissues surrounding and supporting the teeth.

  • Prosthodontists
Prosthodontists are dentists who specialise in the repair or replacement of worn, broken or missing teeth.

Start with the end in mind.
Obviously, this statement had been proven by our own religion, Islam. Allah had taught us to act in today's reality based on how we want to be in our next life, on what condition do we want to be raised up in. He provided target of the highest heaven for us, so that we could strive hardest and the 'very bestest' to achieve it.

The same principle applies to our life.

Don't know which job suites you? Go and find yourselves!

p/s ; it's not that bad to be a dentist, right? dont you want to treat this makcik?
